REFLECTIVE JOURNAL 4

ASSALAMUALIKUM,
SALAM SEJAHTERA.........

this week class was held at MJIIT, level 4....
for this week, Dr.Azran for the first time attending the class
and give a talk about BIOELECTRONIC....

BIOELECTRONIC

Bioelectronics is a recently coined term for a field of research that works to establish a synergy between electronics and biology.

In other words, the emerging field of Bioelectronics seeks to exploit biology in conjunction with electronics in a wider context encompassing, for example, biological fuel cells, bionics and biomaterials for information processing, information storage, electronic components and actuators. A key aspect is the interface between biological materials and micro- and nano-electronics.

FRAMEWORK OF BIOELECTRONIC

Bioelectronics is the discipline resulting from the convergence of biology and electronics and it has the potential to significantly impact many areas important to the nation’s economy and well-being, including healthcare and medicine, homeland security, forensics, and protecting the environment and the food supply. Not only can advances in electronics impact biology and medicine, but conversely understanding biology may provide powerful insights into efficient assembly processes, devices, and architectures for nanoelectronics technologies, as physical limits of existing technologies are approached.

At first, we were introduced to some of the electronic component.....

Dr. Azran did explain a little bit about how to read resistor color code

here I put a video to simply explain more about how to read resistor color code....

 simple and sweet =)
hihihi.....

after that, he continued with IMPEDANCE(Z)

Impedance (Z) is a measure of the overall opposition of a circuit to current.

In other words, how much the circuit impedes the flow of current.

Impedance, Z =  V
 I

It is like resistance, but it also takes into account the effects of capacitance and inductance.

Four electrical quantities determine the impedance (Z) of a circuit:
 resistance (R), capacitance (C), inductance (L) and frequency (f).

Impedance can be split into two parts:
  • Resistance R (the part which is constant regardless of frequency)
  • Reactance X (the part which varies with frequency due to capacitance and inductance)

REFLECTION

BIOELECTRONIC is new to me, but most of the term use is similar
with what i have learn before.....
Although it's look quiet thought....
but it's still got my attention to learn more about BIOELECTRONIC....
I hope BIOELECTRONIC will be more interesting soon....
