REFLECTIVE JOURNAL 3

Assalamualaikum and hello >.<
for today journal, i will talk about ULTIBOARD
it is actually a combination to MULTISIM
it is because after we built the circuit using multisim,
we will transfer the design to ultiboard....

for this week INTRODUCTION TO ELECTRONIC SYSTEM ENGINEERING class,
on 23th October, we have a test on how to use ULTIBORD,
because we have learn about ULTIBOARD during last week class on 16th October...

ULTIBOARD

NI Ultiboard or formerly ULTIBOARD is an electronic Printed Circuit Board Layout program which is part of a suite of circuit design programs, along with NI Multisim.
Ultiboard includes a 3D PCB viewing mode, as well as integrated import and export features to the Schematic Capture and Simulation software in the suite, Multisim.

On the other words, Ultiboard is a suite of  tools that assists you in carrying out the major steps in the circuit design flow. Ultiboard is used to design printed circuit boards, perform certain basic mechanical operations, and prepare them for manufacturing. It also provides automated parts placement and layout.

INTRODUCTION

tadaaa!!!

1. Menu Bar

2. Standard Toolbar
   *Use for basic editing functions

3. Select Toolbar
   *Use to control selection filters.

4. Draw Settings Toolbar
*Use to select the layer, thickness and unit of measure of a line or object that is being drawn.
This toolbar also contains buttons for functions that control the appearance of lines and
shapes drawn on any layer except a copper layer.

5. View Toolbar
*Use to modify the way the screen is displayed.

6. Main Toolbar
*Use for common board design functions.

7. Autoroute Toolbar
*Contains the autorouting and placement functions.

8. Status Bar
   *displays useful and important information.

9. Workspace
*is where you build your design.

10. Spreadsheet View
*allows fast advanced viewing and editing of parameters including
component details such as footprints, Reference Designators, attributes and design
      constraints.

11. Design Toolbox
*lets you show, hide, or dim elements of your design.

12. 3D Preview
*shows you a three-dimensional preview of the board.

13. Birds Eye View
*shows you the design at a glance and lets you easily navigate around the workspace.

STEPS ON HOW TO USE ULTIBOARD

here I include a video which will help you on how to use ultiboard

this video has help me alot =)
I hope you will feel the same to

REFLECTION =)

after learn about ULTIBOARD I realize that it's give many benefits...
  • Flexible optimized for rapid design and accurate part or copper placement.
  • Friendly interface for laying out and routing PCBs.
  • Seamless integration with Multisim to ensure accurate transfer of simulated designs.
  • Comprehensive database of connector footprints for custom designing NI hardware and test platform.

last but not least......
I hope my marks for ULTIBOARD test will come out well...
Amin....
